Children's Church also provides the opportunity for our children to develop friendships through fun and fellowship with other Christian children there age.

SUNDAY SCHOOL Education is a vital element in personal growth and development. Religious education based on the words of Jesus Christ and the teachings of the Bible is critical to building a healthy self-image and a correct understanding of God's plan of salvation.

Having a "good time" is a big part of the learning process at Bethel and Bethel offers weekly classes for children, teenagers and adults. Classes meet at 10:00 a.m. at the church each Sunday and every class is staffed with capable and caring teachers who desire to make a positive and life-changing impact in the lives of their students.

The Good News about Jesus Christ and the principle tenets of the Christian faith are the building blocks of the curriculum. Students of all ages are given the opportunity to learn about the most important things in life and about how to live life in a way that makes sense and leads to heaven.

MUSIC MINISTRY Musical expression is a natural and diverse means of sharing God's message of faith, hope and love. It is also a deeply personal way to offer exuberant praise and sincere worship to God. Whether through singing songs, playing instruments or clapping hands, Bethel encourages both members and guests to utilize their musical talents during the church's services and gatherings. Bethel's music ministry also provides special opportunities for individuals with particular skills and talents.

MEN'S MINISTRY
As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. (Proverbs 27:17)

The Men’s Breakfast and fellowship time is a regular event on the Bethel calendar; it begins at 9:00 a.m. and is usually scheduled on the 3rd Saturday of each month. This is an excellent opportunity for guys to get together and draw insight and strength from each other. Topics of discussion can range from current events at home and abroad, purchasing a new firearm, doing home repairs, the latest news in sports, dealing with a problem at work, to the best ways to pray, resist temptation, and share your faith. Church Committees

VISION COMMITTEE 1996 was a pivotal year for Bethel Baptist Church. The congregation voted to become a Southern Baptist Church and Pastor Gene Strother organized the Vision Committee. Since its inception, the Vision Committee has assisted the pastor in clarifying direction, implementing change, and evaluating progress in the church's ministries, programs, special events and weekly services. The ongoing tasks of this dedicated group of men and women involves the creative thinking and necessary planning to keep Bethel’s growing ministry effective and evangelistic.

MISSIONS COMMITTEE The Great Commission is a divine mandate to every Christian and every church. Jesus has authorized and commanded His followers to share the good news about salvation throughout the world. Bethel's Missions Committee directs and oversees the church's missions program of prayer and financial support for missionaries and other ministry causes. The work of these concerned and faithful members include the recommendation of new missionaries for financial support, the preparation of an annual missions budget and promotion of missions within the church.

FINANCE COMMITTEE Good stewardship of the resources that God has given us is critical in our church as well as in our homes. The Finance Committee has the challenge and responsibility of seeing that the church's finances are spent wisely. Because of the sensitivity of the work, the aim is for the committee to be comprised of respected church leaders. Thus, this group consists of the Pastor, the Deacons, and the Trustees. Their work includes generation of the annual church budget, financial approval of all projects, and monthly review of the church's income and expenditures.

TRUSTEES The maintenance of the church facilities and upkeep of the church grounds is the responsibility of the trustees. They do this by cleaning, repairing, and improving where they can, and enlisting or hiring the assistance of others where necessary. The trustees are also responsible for receiving and counting the offering on a weekly basis. The results are logged and reported to the church secretary for deposit in the church accounts.
